What is mycountry.io?
mycountry.io is a platform where people share what makes their country unique — food, culture, traditions, landmarks, music, and everyday life. Others discover things they never knew existed.
Why we built it
Most social platforms optimise for outrage and engagement. We wanted something different — a place driven by genuine curiosity. Where a person from Nigeria can share why Jollof Rice matters, a person from Japan can explain Omotenashi, and someone from Iceland can show you what the midnight sun actually looks like.
No likes. No followers. No leaderboard. Just discovery.
How it works

- Browse the global feed or dive into any country's page
- Hit “I Learned Something” when a post teaches you something new
- Save posts to your Passport — your profile fills with flag stamps as you discover countries
- Answer the daily question and see how the world responds
